Do You Want To Know Jesus???

Do you want to know Jesus?

If you have found this blog and you do not yet know Jesus but want to, then please read this page.

What must I do to be saved?

To be saved you must turn away from sin, believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and receive Him as Lord and Saviour of your life.

Here is a step-by-step process:

1. First, you must consider your life and then turn away from everything in it that is contrary to what God wants. This turning away from selfishness and toward God is called repentance. (Acts 3:19)

2. Second, you must acknowledge that Jesus Christ died on the Cross to forgive you of sin. You must receive Him as your Saviour to cleanse you from sin - as the substitute who paid the price due for your sin.   (Romans 5:9 and Titus 2:14)

3. Third, you must ask Jesus to be Lord of your life, acknowledging openly and verbally that Jesus is not only your Saviour but your Lord.     (1 John 2:2)

The Bible says that as many as received Him were given the power to become the sons of God (John 1:12). So when you open your heart and receive Him, He comes into your heart ~ your inner person ~ through His Holy Spirit and begins to live His life in you. From that point on it is your privelege and call to confess what God has done. (Romans 10:9)

Prayer of Salvation

Dear Heavenly Father, I admit that I have rebelled against you and that I have run my life my own way. For this I am sorry and I repent. I acknowledge that Jesus Christ, your Son, died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin and that You raised Him from the dead. I thank you for sending Jesus and I accept the sacrifice He made for me. I now ask Jesus into my heart by faith to be Lord of my life. I also ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Accept me as a child into your Kingdom, I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

If you have sincerely repented and put your faith and trust in Jesus the promised Messiah, you are now a child of God! Welcome to the family my beloved brothers and sisters. Please find a Bible and begin reading the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, followed by the book of Acts. This will be a great starting point. Pray daily and ask God to bring Spirit-filled believers into your life. As you seek God, He will be faithful to guide you and direct your paths. Hallelujah!

A special thank you to our sweet sister in Christ, Bonnie at http://newbon-bonsblog.blogspot.com for the scripture-based plan of salvation and prayer.  :0)
